Here are a few progression pictures that show the creation of “Susan” .
As you can imagine, given the fact that this is a lifesize drawing, she took many, many hours to draw.
It was an incredibly rewarding experience to witness her coming to life on the paper – and then to see her finally unveiled to a rapturous and satisfied audience.
Once completed – and due to the size of the finished work, we had to borrow my son’s van to transport her for framing. I have to confess, given that Susan is such a huge drawing, I was mighty relieved when she was safely mounted and framed!
